A funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Indiana Funeral Care and Crematory, Harry W. Moore Chapel, with calling from 11:00 until service time. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
Willie Benjamin Taylor, Jr. was born on February, 26 1945, to Willie B Sr. and Linnie Belle Taylor in Indianapolis, Indiana. Both parents preceded him in death. He was the second of 11 children born in this union. His sister, Linda Darnell-Taylor, preceded him in death.
Willie was united in marriage, on December 8, 1966, to Marcia Gibson for 47 years. From this union 5 children were born. Willie and Marcia shared their love for Jehovah God and symbolized this love by their baptism in 1971.
Willie graduated from Washington High School in 1963. He retired from Wilhelm Construction as a Cement Superintendent at the age of 64 after more than 35 years of service.
For those who knew him, he will be remembered for his strong religious beliefs, strong work ethic, photogenic memory, his passion for fishing, hunting and service to others. Willie participated in several Kingdom Hall quick builds. Willie will be remembered for his knowledge, wisdom, and his love for family and close friends.
Willie B. Taylor Jr. departed this life on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at the age of 68 years, 8 months. His sister, Linda, preceded him in death in 2009.
He leaves to cherish his memories: His wife Marcia Louise Taylor; four sons, Christopher, Willie III, William, and David (Hazel); One daughter, Stacey (Thomas); 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 2 brothers; 7 sisters and a host of nephews, nieces, and other relatives and friends.
